Hey Rachael, Glad to see you're dancing again. How's the writing going? My New Year's resolution is to get published. I have two short stories ready...but just don't know where to start!
Hi Lyn! Get those stories out there. I know all the advice is to be really focused on who you send them too, but I think there is something to be said for the scattergun approach as well. If you send out enough shots you are bound to hit something sooner or later.
I'm just about to start writing for two competitions. I need to get on with it - I had an anxiety dream last night about trying to write a story in three hours while sitting beside a public swimming pool (don't ask). In the dream I could never get further than the first few lines when something would happen and I had to start over, with the minutes ticking away. Yup, really need to get on with it.
